What It’s Like Inside an Author’s Brain

Inside an author’s brain, it’s a scary world.

Full of dragons, unicorns, stardust, mysteries-unsolved, stories that are gathering dust, stories that should never see the light of day, and there’s cake and champagne for when they’re feeling happy.

There’s an abundance of geeky references, some items from Amazon that never shipped, and a hole in their heart that the author doesn’t know will be filled with fame or money or something of the sort.

Inside an author’s brain, there’s that one question of: “dear gods or alien beings, should I really be an author or should I have gone into the safer professions? Like medical school. Or law. Or selling internal organs to a bank.”

Inside an author’s brain, there’s the constant doubt.

Inside an author’s brain, there’s a tiny section filled with hope. (Some might argue madness, but that’s another story.)

Inside an author’s brain, there’s a separate room. Even the author doesn’t know what’s in it. They’ve never bothered to look. Or maybe they’re afraid to.

Inside an author’s brain, there’s an author.

They’ve probably got writer’s block.
