Hello Coldness, my Old Friend

I can’t be the only baby who can’t handle the cold. Right? Right? Sigh. Maybe I am. But at least the brutal cold prepared me enough to sit by my heater and write that novel all day. Maybe cold depressing winters are just a blessing in disguise. It’s like Mother Nature taking a megaphone and yelling, “Work! Work! No that’s not snow melting outside, that’s snow freezing again outside into ice. No fun in the sun for you. I said WORK!”
And what’s more motivational than nature yelling at you with a megaphone? Nothing. 😎

Cold was never a friend to me. I lived for several years in the 30 below zero winters of Minnesota and to this day I still hate the cold. I’ve written a whole lot more since I move to the warmth of Hawaii than I ever did in the nations deep freezer. Just keep writing and Aloha – pjs/

I feel you. I have family in Minnesota and I can’t stand the bitter cold there either. Brrr! Hope I can move someplace warmer eventually.

I am SO HAPPY that it is finally cold here in SC and not WET. Everything was just wet, everywhere, and it still kept raining!

The lesser of two evils. Rain or cold I guess. Best of luck to you!

Lovely! I took my pug for a brisk walk through icy snow after writing all day. Wish I’d read your blog first. I ended up carrying her back, panting and shivering. Would have been better off staying at the laptop, obeying the WORK, WORK, WORK!
