Insomniac

You know how some words just come off as good or bad? It’s not the word’s fault. It’s just a bunch of letters strung together. Although, I suppose if you put it that way, then Shakespeare was just a bunch of letters arranged in pretty little squares. Languages are complex like that. Yet I digress. For the word in question here is one which should bring shivers down your spine. Insomniac. Isn’t that so frightfully chilling? It makes me immediately think of the title to a brand new psychological thriller type movie. But that’s just me. People nowadays lack sleep. Kids lack sleep. Teens lack sleep. Adults lack sleep. And that’s terrible!
Most writers wind up staying up late to write anyways. It’s just something about the night. It calls to us like we were born from it or something.
Either that or it’s just easier to write because it’s finally, blessedly quiet.

I know. Sleep has been very elusive lately. I think it’s been avoiding me. I should reconcile with it eventually.

Wow! That was a wonderful post. The last paragraph got me brooding. Yes,what makes night such a compulsive abode for writers? Is it just the silence? Perhaps, there is profoundness in silence indeed. We hear the inner voice clear and distinct.

‘Like we were born out of it?’ This sounds tempting!
